Optimised for the demanding requirements of hygienically sensitive processes and clean room production areas, the CSG-2 | DSC-2 | FSG-2 Series are available with air-cooling or water-cooling design.

Oil-free compressor configurations include:

  • Standard two-stage ‘base’ model compressors and some modular compressed air system options
  • ‘T’ model option | The CSG-2 Series is available with an integrated refrigeration dryer for high-quality, moisture-free air
  • ‘i.HOC’ model option | All oil-free model configurations available with an integrated i.HOC rotation dryer option (that uses up to 100% of compressor heat) for high-quality, moisture-free air
  • ‘SFC’ model option | The majority of oil-free model configurations are available with variable speed control (SFC) for optimum efficiency across a broad control range

Air-cooled Oil-Free Compressors

In the absence of a cooling-water infrastructure, air-cooled oil-free compressors ensure exceptional compressed air supply dependability in ambient temperatures up to +45ºC.

AIR-COOLING BENEFITS

Heat-use made simple: Thanks to radial fans with high residual thrust, the heated cooling air can normally be used straight away for space heating without need of auxiliary fans.

Energy-efficient: In standby mode, the temperature-controlled Kaeser standstill fan reliably conveys residual heat away – meaning the main fan can be switched off!

Maintenance-friendly: The first and second stages of the aluminium-block heat exchanger can simply be swivelled out for cleaning purposes.

 

Water-cooled Oil-Free Compressors

Thanks to refined and robust drive and cooling solutions, water-cooled oil-free compressors achieve extremely low power consumption values and can operate in ambient temperatures up to +45ºC.

With their compact design and relatively small exhaust air duct, water-cooled oil-free compressors can be installed in smaller, height restricted compressor rooms.

WATER-COOLING BENEFITS

Low compressed air discharge temperature: The tube bundle for the two air/water heat exchangers consists of high-quality stainless steel pipes with roller-expanded aluminium star profile for optimum heat transfer.

Opportunity to significantly reduce costs through heat recovery: With a KAESER Heat Recovery System, up to 96% of compressor exhaust heat can be recycled – for example, to heat water up to +90°C.

Maintenance-friendly: The air/water heat exchangers for the first and second compressor stages are housed in two separate enclosures, each with optimal accessibility thanks to large maintenance doors.

 

Integrated i.HOC Rotation Dryer Option

Available for air-cooled or water-cooled oil-free compressor models from 37 kW to 355 kW, the energy-saving i.HOC (Integrated Heat of Compression Dryer) uses 100% of the heat of compression from the second compressor stage for drying purposes (full-flow regeneration). This heat, which is produced in any case, is therefore effectively available at zero cost.

  • Pressure: 5 to 11 bar
  • Pressure dew point: -20°C to -40°C

i.HOC ROTARY DRYER BENEFITS

Sub-zero pressure dew points: Thanks to its extraordinary regeneration potential, the i.HOC delivers below-zero pressure dew points even in high ambient temperatures or with high cooling medium temperatures.

Pressure dew point stability even with variable flow rates: The pressure dew point remains stable even with low compressor load – no partial-load compensation required.

Effective drying AND heat recovery: i.HOC uses the heat exchangers of the second compression stage, which have been optimised for heat recovery, as regeneration air coolers.
