FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER VACANCY - PERTH

We seek an experienced Compressed Air - Field Service Engineer to be based out of our busy Perth - Sales & Service Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join our busy, professional, and expanding team, assisting with the expert service, installation, and maintenance of our quality compressed air equipment, systems, and solutions at our customers' sites.

Travelling and working primarily across Perth and Kinross, Angus and Fife, you may occasionally be required to travel to customers that are further afield to provide service support and technical guidance, ensuring health and safety compliance and safe work systems are maintained at all times.

EXPERIENCE

Ideally, applicants should either be a compressor engineer, a time-served mechanic or an engineer with electro-mechanical experience, holding a current UK driving licence and relevant engineering qualification or being able to demonstrate the experience and skills from a similar position.

Previous experience in the compressed air industry is desirable and preferred but not necessary. However, evidence of formal technical training by means of apprenticeship or equivalent is desirable, together with a minimum of two years of practical experience working without direct supervision.

A sound engineering background with transferable experience and skills would be beneficial, although training will be provided for the right candidate. Applicants should also have excellent communication and organisational skills while demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a ‘hands-on’ approach to their responsibilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of this interesting role include the following:

  • Provide 24/7 expert service, installation and breakdown support to existing and new customers.
  • Build rapport with customer account contacts and business owners.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally, applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least two years of practical field service experience with industrial equipment or a similar technical product.
  • Transferable knowledge and skills from a sound industrial or engineering background.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to preventative maintenance and quality installations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and a ‘hands-on’ approach to their responsibilities.
  • A willingness to contribute to the success of our business and achieving growth.

SKILLS

In addition to the above, we are looking for a candidate with the following skills:

  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Good time management and organisation.
  • Good communication and IT proficiency.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure as an individual and as part of a busy team.
  • Good command of the English language (written and spoken).

TERMS & HOW TO APPLY

In addition to a generous salary of approx. £40-£42k plus the opportunity of overtime, ‘on call’ and weekend payments, we provide a structured training plan; the opportunity for career development; 25 days paid holiday plus 7 statutory days; a discretionary company bonus; a pension scheme, private healthcare, life insurance cover and a company vehicle.
